Born in the Boogie-Down Bronx, Sim Streeter brings a lifetime of soul and passion to his music. His birth name, Besinuwa, means “a craft maker of children’s toys” in Swahili—a fitting connection to an artist whose craft is music.
Inspired by Teddy Pendergrass and Michael Jackson, Sim began developing his voice at age seven and later honed his talents through school choir.
At 18, Sim joined the R&B group Casual Soul, which secured a demo deal with Mona Scott at Def Jam/Violator Records. The experience connected him with industry figures including Russell Simmons, LL Cool J, Brandy, Ray J, Busta Rhymes, and Boyz II Men, as well as Full Force and Kangol of UTFO. In 1992, Casual Soul performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and sang background vocals for LL Cool J at The Children’s Choice Awards.
Sim later performed with the FunkDaddy Band throughout Atlantic City and New Jersey. His cover of Norman Connors’ “You Are My Starship” caught Connors’ attention, leading to an invitation to perform live in South Jersey.
Kaos Records Legacy
Sim released his debut EP, Craft Maker of R&B, through Kaos Records LLC, showcasing his classic R&B influences, expressive vocals, and timeless soul sound.
His single “Bring It Home” earned international independent radio recognition, including a No. 13 placement on the Euro Indie Music Chart in August 2022 and chart exposure through the World Indie Music Charts.
Sim's final project with the label, Craft Maker of R&B: The Remix EP, is scheduled for release soon. The project marks the conclusion of his Kaos Records chapter while celebrating his contributions to the label's R&B catalog.

Ethan “Chef” Pheonix is a versatile vocalist, percussionist, producer, and session musician whose career spans decades of live performance and studio work. A full-scholarship student at the prestigious American Boy Choir in Princeton, New Jersey, Chef went on to earn the 2007 Detroit Music Award for Best Male Vocalist.
His professional credits include collaborations with Glenn Brown Productions, The Hit Factory New York, Lifetime’s Dance Moms, and a memorable recording session with the legendary Aretha Franklin.
An internationally experienced performer and recording artist, Chef draws from personal triumphs, profound loss, and life's brighter moments to create music rooted in resilience, soul, and optimism. His artistry continues to resonate through authenticity, passion, and heartfelt storytelling.
